Mahjong Row & Co. entered the market in January 2026 with American Mahjong sets conceived as part of a home’s design. Thingtesting reported that the debut was created with Taiwanese-American creative director Monica Lo.
Cypress Forest shows the approach: soft greens and deeper olive tones, with layered acrylic and a palette inspired by hinoki cypress and natural wood textures. Its 160-tile set includes ten jokers and six blanks. Racks, mats and other accessories are sold across a coordinating range.
Founder Tricia describes the business as growing from a game among friends and a wish for pieces that could be displayed as well as played. The product story is about a different visual direction for the table, rather than a change to the rules.
