Oh My Mahjong founder Megan Trottier is expanding into publishing with Mastering American Mahjong and American Mahjong for Babies. An October 21, 2026, PaperCity interview explores the books alongside the Dallas entrepreneur’s path from accessories to a wider Mahjong business.
Trottier describes returning to the game with friends during the pandemic and handling early orders from her garage before moving into warehouse space. The books add adult instruction and a family-oriented introduction to a brand already associated with tile designs, mats and teaching resources.
The interview also touches on instructor education, events and protecting original designs. Its focus is the founder’s account of building the business and bringing the game to new audiences.
