Shauna Bruckman learned Mahjong from her grandmother. Years later, a regular game with other mothers helped her build friendships after having a baby. By July 2026, that personal connection had grown into a teaching business.
City Cast Las Vegas reported that Bruckman had taught more than 200 people American Mahjong through private lessons, company events and restaurant gatherings. She teaches with National Mah Jongg League rules, giving beginners a route into the same game used at many established tables.
Bruckman’s plan for a small studio had become a reality by September, when FOX5 visited the new business. Las Vegas Mahjong’s own site now describes its studio inside Lucky Hare. The model connects lessons with finding people to play with, helping beginners move from a first class to a regular table.
